Volunteer

No matter what your contribution is,
it will make a difference!

“Be the change you want to see in the world.”
Mahatma Gandhi

Get InvolvedBe the Change Challenge is designed to make the work of NCCJ not just accessible but imperative for all.

Whether you are a veteran of the fight against bias, bigotry and racism, or you are new to the battle, NCCJ will be a resource to help you strive to be the change in your community.

If you are comfortable making large scale, public change, we support that.

If you are working with your own family or in your children's school, that is an equally important way to be an agent of change.

At School

  • Donate multicultural books, films, magazines and other materials to school libraries.
  • Work to change divisive school emblems and mascots.
  • Check out NCCJ’s Youth Action Coalition youth run projects and team up with middle and high school student’s to bring community based projects to our schools.

At Work

  • Coordinate a “brown-bag” lunch forum on topics of diverse cultural and social interest.
  • Ensure that your workplace complies with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

At Worship

  • Note how your faith addresses issues of inclusion and justice and make sure your actions align with these ideals.
  • Work with members of your congregations to welcome people of different ethnic, cultural and economic backgrounds.

In the Community

  • Speak up when you hear racial slurs, view discriminatory images, or receive hate propaganda.
  • Sign-up for NCCJ’s free facilitator trainer workshop so that you can:
  • facilitate workplace, school, organizational programs and workshops dealing with diversity, inclusion and social justice issues.

Our Volunteers Make a World of Difference
