Youth Programs

Education is the key to encouraging respect and appreciation of people from all races, religions and cultures.

Training youths to be the leaders of tomorrow and today!

ANYTOWN  An empowering youth educational program beginning with a week-long residential experience focusing on social justice and youth leadership.  ANYTOWN is designed to educate, liberate and empower youth participants to become effective, responsible leaders and community builders.  At ANYTOWN, students are preparing to be the leaders of tomorrow and today.

Bridges  A two-day prejudice reduction program for middle and high school students.  Through a series of experiential activities, students begin to understand the origins of prejudice and how it affects others, to confront their own prejudicial beliefs, recognize the harmful effect of stereotypes and develop strategies to implement this learning in their own schools.

Different and the Same  Through an innovative program developed by Family Communications, Inc., the company that produced “Mister Rogers Neighborhood,” teachers are trained to use curriculum consisting of videos and activities to address the challenging issues of prejudice including: name calling, hate crimes, stereotyping and inclusion.

Youth Action Coalition (YAC)  A continuation of Camp ANYTOWN, YAC offers Bridges and ANYTOWN alumni support in making change in their schools and communities.  During semi-monthly meetings, students receive mentoring and assistance in developing youth  advocacy skills and implementation of community action plans.
