Warriors Don't Cry - The Bushnell and NCCJ

A one-woman play about fighting bias and discrimination and working for social change.

Join us February 21st, 6:30pm at The Bushnell

Using video, original music, spoken word, poetry and prose, Warriors Don't Cry aims to inspire deeper discussion about social responsibility, civil discourse, freedom -  and much more. The performance will be followed by a talk-back hosted by NCCJ, featuring the actress and a group of NCCJ ANYTOWN-ers.

This new play dramatizes Melba Patillo Beal’s autobiography centered around the harrowing battle to integrate Little Rock’s central high in 1957 through the perspective of a modern activist asking questions like:  "What does a warrior look like? What is worth fighting for? Can a young person change the world?"

Purchase your tickets with The Bushnell here.

Your ticket reservation will be confirmed with a $5 non-refundable deposit. Following the performance, The Bushnell will email you with an opportunity to “pay what you think it was worth.” All proceeds from this event will benefit both The Bushnell and NCCJ.

NCCJ ANYTOWN alumni can receive free tickets for themselves and up to four others by calling 860-683-1039 to reserve your tickets.
